Body Assembly I have covered the body assembly in the video. Here are a few things to be aware of. Wear a face mask. The dust is very fine. I use a blowgun from a compressor to blow the dust away. A good 2 part epoxy resin is essential. Do not use Rapid set epoxy. This may be good for some jobs but the failure rate of the joints was high when I was experimenting. When gluing together the body, make sure that none of the epoxy goes into the bore as it is difficult to clean off once set. The cutout that you align together between the top section and the bottom section is slightly ambiguous. Get the cutout as close as you can. I will endeavour to change the model so that there is a definate line (or mark) to align to. If you have made a clamping mechanism then be aware that when you tighten the clamp the 2 pieces can rotate and cause misalignment. Double check the alignment. There is plenty of time to get it perfect before the adhesive starts to set. When drilling the holes and tapping them make sure the drill does not get clogged. Blow the dust away. I use a compressed air gun to blow the dust away. In the video I do not use a face mask for the dust, but I recommend one when you are drilling, tapping or reaming. The drill size for the support pillars is 2.00mm diameter. The tap for the thread is M2.5 The drill size for the 4 spring holes is 0.65mm diameter. It is particularly important to keep clearing the dust off this drill whilst drilling as it can clog very quickly and could break.
